We provide breastfeeding (collecting) rooms in accordance with the Act of Gender Equality in Employment and Public Breastfeeding Act. Currently, there are a total of 41 breastfeeding (collecting) rooms for female employees and customers in TWC’s service bases and offices, and various facilities are also set up to create a warm environment.

      Talent Cultivation and Training

To continuously strengthen the professional knowledge of our personnel to enhance TWC’s competitiveness, we have planned annual training plans in the fields of management, technology, administration and so on and implemented the training courses as scheduled. We hire our employees with relevant practical experiences and external lecturers to enhance the trainees’ learning outcomes through diverse courses such as technical experience sharing, case study, group discussion and practice visits.

      Occupational Safety for Employees

To implement the items specified in Article 31 of the Enforcement Rules of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and to improve the performance of occupational safety and health management, we fully promote Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Management System (TOSHMS) and internalize occupational safety and health management into part of business operation management. By making good use of the progressive PDCA management model, we started from complying with TOSHMS and further achieved the national occupational safety and health management system requirements of CNS 15506 (or ISO 45001) to create a sound occupational safety and health management system. We also implement the utilization of safety and health management resources, accountability and project execution in a systematic manner to ensure the safety and health of our workers.

      Promotion of Employee Health

We attach great importance to the physical and mental health of our employees. Every new employee should receive a physical checkup. In addition, according to the legal regulation, we arrange regular health checkups for our employees and specified operation personnel, and the frequency of inspections conforms to the provisions in the Labor Health Protection Act. For those with abnormal test results, we will arrange physicians for health consultation services to help the employees with the health tracking. In addition, according to the statistics of past results, we also actively carry out various health promotion activities, such as health lectures, weight loss camps, screening of four cancers and influenza vaccination to promote the employee health and enhance self-risk control. There was no case of occupational disease in 2018.

      Social Care

To fully implement friendly and convenient services and to understand the actual needs of users, TWC holds “Meeting with TWC” annually, and the heads of the districts lead the staff members to have face-to-face discussions with local residents, village leaders and users to exchange ideas and answer questions. We aim at providing services that are closer to the needs of the public to improve the service quality. A total of 33 sessions were held in 2018.
